Colourful Chalet Renovation
Renovation and Addition, Blue Mountain
The goal was clear: preserve the chalet’s alpine charm while creating more space and adding fun new details. This Blue Mountain chalet renovation and addition demonstrates the balance between heritage and fresh design.
The original wood beams were carefully sandblasted, removing years of paint to reveal their natural character. These beams now anchor the main living areas, giving the chalet an authentic alpine feel. Shiplap throughout the interiors adds clean lines and a timeless connection between old and new spaces.
On the exterior addition, traditional woodworking details were meticulously replicated. This ensures the new spaces blend seamlessly with the original structure, maintaining the home’s authentic chalet character while expanding its footprint.
The interior design incorporates playful colour, shapes, and textures, introducing a sense of whimsy to the chalet. Bright finishes and layered textiles create lively, welcoming spaces designed for relaxing after a day on the slopes.
Projects like this hold a personal connection for our team—not just as builders, but as part of the ski culture in the region. We understand how a chalet should feel: warm, functional, and full of character. Each renovation reflects that insight, creating personalized spaces where families can gather, entertain, and make lasting memories.
This renovated blue mountain chalet highlights the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and creativity that have made us a go-to Blue Mountains custom home builder for chalet renovations.
