The Big Curve
New Build, Blue Mountain Residence
Completion Fall 2025
Landscaping completion Spring 2026
This modern custom home in Blue Mountain was designed to balance elevated entertaining with everyday livability. From the outset, the clients envisioned a home that could host family and guests with ease. At the same time, they wanted a home that was functional, intentional, and enduring in its design.Â
A defining feature of the home is its curved architectural form, which sets it apart both visually and technically. Curved walls extend throughout the residence, requiring a high level of coordination and precision across all trades to execute cleanly. At the centre, a free-standing, three-storey curved staircase becomes a sculptural focal point– reflecting the craftsmanship and precision behind the design and build.Â

Material choices further ground the modern architecture. Exposed steel beams offer honest structural expression, while a dramatic two‑storey stone fireplace anchors the main living area. Moreover, the fireplace stone was selected to match the exterior stonework, creating a strong connection between the interior and exterior. Exclusive finishes appear consistently throughout the home, reinforcing a cohesive and well-executed design. Expansive windows frame views of the ski hill and landscape, bringing in natural light without compromising comfort or performance.
The home offers multiple indoor and outdoor gathering spaces that flow naturally from one to the next,. Consequently, the layout supports both large-scale entertaining and more intimate moments. The interior accommodates long-term living and hosting with numerous bedrooms and guest suites, an indoor gym, and a fully equipped catering kitchen. Outdoors, the entertaining experience continues with a sports court, pool, hot tub, fire pit areas, and a pool house complete with bar and fireplace seating. Together, these features create a true four-season retreat.
This project reflects a clear vision brought to life through close collaboration, experience, and technical precision. As a result, the home balances strong architectural character with real-world livability.
